Xiaomi has launched a new colour variant of it’s popular mid-range smartphone Redmi Note 5 Pro. The new colour is Red. The smartphone is already available in Black, Blue, Gold and Rose God colour variants.
The red colour variant will be available in both 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB combinations. The price of the red colour variant will be same as the regular one.
The 4 GB RAM variant (with 64 |GB internal storage) is priced at Rs 14,999. The 6 GB RAM variant (with 64 GB internal storage) is priced at Rs 16,999.
Let’s take a quick look on specifications of the smartphone.
The smartphone has a 5.99 inch Full HD+ display with 2160x1080p screen resolution. It has 18:8 screen aspect ratio. The display has pixel density of 403 ppi.
The smartphone has MIUI 9 skin running on Android Nougat 7.1.2 (still Noughat!).
The smartphone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. The Snapdragon 636 processor is an octa-core processor. The smartphone has Adreno 509 GPU. It has a 4000 mAh battery. It has a Micro-USB port for charging and data transfer purpose. It has Bluetooth 5.0.
The smartphone has a hybrid micro-SD card slot, means you can use either two sim cards or a single sim and a micro-SD card. It supports Micro-SD card up-to 256 GB.
The smartphone has a vertical dual camera setup at it’s back. The dual camera is of 12MP+5MP combination.The 12 MP sensor has f/2.2 aperture and 5 MP sensor has f/2.0 aperture.
For selfies, the smartphone sports a 20 MP lens at front. The front camera has f/2.2 aperture.
The red colour variant is available on Xiaomi’s official website. It will be available on Flipkart also. It seems that Xiaomi is feeling the heat of competition, so they have come with the strategy of new colour variants.
