Motorola has launched two new smartphones based on “Android One”. And these smartphones comes with “Motorola” branding. Yes, you read it right, the company has decided to use “Motorola” branding instead of “Moto” on these smartphones.

The smartphones are named as Motorola One and Motorola One Power. Let’s take a quick look at what these smartphones offer.

Motorola One

The Motorola One features a 5.9 inch LCD display. It has HD+ resolution and it sports a notch. With this smartphone, Motorola has also joined the group of smartphones who give Notches on the smartphones.

The smartphone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. We have seen this processor on many smartphones (and have also heard about the problem of Dual cameras and Snapdragon 625). The smartphone has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. It also have a micro-SD card slot.

The smartphone has 3000 mAh battery to power it up. Well the battery is not too big, but it supports TurboPower charging to make up for that. The smartphone has a USB Type – C port for charging and data transfer purpose. The company has decided to put a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack (after removing it from the Moto Z3 Play). Right now, the smartphone is available in only one colour option – Black.

The smartphone has dual rear cameras. It has 13 MP + 2 MP camera combination in back. It has 8 MP front camera.

In Europe, the smartphone is priced at €299.

Motorola One Power

Motorola One Power has a 6.2 inch display. It has FHD+ resolution. This smartphone also sports a Notch (that Notch trend). It also has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. This smartphone also has the micro-SD card slot.

This smartphone comes with a more powerful processor than Motorola One. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. It has a bigger 5000 mAh battery and it also supports TurboPower Charging. So the combination of a big battery and TurboPower Charging makes this smartphone a beast in terms of battery back (unless the company do something bad in software).

This smartphone also has a USB Type – C port for charging and data transfer. It also has a 3.5 mm Headphone Jack.

The smartphone has a dual rear camera setup with 16 MP+ 5 MP combination. It has a 12 MP front camera. The pricing of this smartphone has not been disclosed yet.

Both smartphones are on Google’s Android One program, which means two guaranteed Android version updates. The smartphones are on Android Oreo. These smartphone are expected to launch in India. The mid-range segment in  India is quite packed. So, Motorola needs to set a good price.
