Kerala flood has became a killing machine

Kerala flood have been worst since days and people are dying. The population is facing landslides and flood at the same time.

Kerala flood in MalapurramIt was a day of mourning for two neighbouring villages in Malappuram, which witnessed 12 deaths in two hours following landslides on Wednesday.

At around 12am, nine members of a family were killed when a house collapsed due to a landslide near Peringavu. Local residents said the family went to take pets out from that house.

The deceased have been identified as Kunnath Parambil Moosa,55, Basheer,47, his wife Sabira, 47, son Mushiq, 14, daughter Fayisha, 19, wife Basheer’s Brother, Khairunneesa,36 , Muhammedali, 48, his daughter Safwan, 26 and Irfan Ali, 16.

“The house owner and his family had gone to attend a marriage party in the evening. After heavy rain lashed the region, the house owner rang up his brother Basheer and asked him to take the pets in the poultry farm attached to the house to safety. Basheer and his family who were staying nearby arrived at the house to shift the pets. Immediately, a huge pile of soil fell on the house and they trapped inside,” said Kunhippokku, Basheer’s neighbour.
It took several hours for Army men to recover the bodies from the debris.

Around 1AM, Kannanari Abdul Azees, 45 and his wife Suneera, 36, and their son Ubaid, 6, were killed when the house at Poochal in the neighbouring village collapsed following another landslides.

The wall behind the house collapsed and fell on the house. Kondotty Police said Azees, Suneera and Ubaid were sleeping. Two other children, aged 19 and 18, who were sleeping in another room, were successful in running away. Azees was a auto driver and was staying in that house from past four years.
