Batti Gul meter Chalu – Review.

Another  social drama-Batti Gul Meter Chalu.

Shree Narayan Singh is back with a movie based on social issue. After Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Batti Gul Meter Chalu is yet another movie on an emerging rural issue.

The movie is starring Shahid Kapoor, Shradhha Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Yami Gautam.

The movie depicts the social issue of inflating electricity bills and electricity theft in rural areas.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is based in Uttrakhand.

The movie revolves around three freinds Nauti (Shradhha Kapoor), SK (Shahid Kapoor ) and Tripathi ( Divyendu Sharma) living in a village Tehri, Uttrakhand.

The three characters  have a really strong bond and are inseperable at the beginning of the movie. But, eventually and unfortunately their friendship gets attacked by some events.

The movie gets connected with people easily because it is based on issues like corruption. The filmmakers have used topics that are very much relatable for the audience.

Though the story line is good and relatable but still audience tend to get bored easily due to the long time period of the movie.

The movie goes on for almost three hours which makes it a little slow resulting in boredom.

The filmmakers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu could have edited a tighter plot. If so, the audience could have enjoyed this relatable story without feeling bored. In short, the story would have been of a greater impact with a shorter runtime.
