You must have heard of a name called antioxidants. You may have heard ot by a doctor or may have read it in health related work.


These are compounds that prevent or slow down the damage of body cells that occur due to different reasons.

How are cells damaged?

The main cause of cell damage are free radicals. When the free radicals accumulate, it may lead to conditions that can damage your DNA and other cell structures. This damage is known as oxidative stress.

By slowing down this cell damage, antioxidants benefit each and every part of our body in some way or other.

The basic thing we all need to underztand is that, we should always try to maintain a healthy balanced diet.
